Third Day

Third Day. When I hear "third day" the first thing that comes to mind is a giant chord that captures the over-done too happiness of Christian music. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? It seems to me that a lot of Christian music can be too happy, too cheesy (and I'm a very optimistic person). I think the highs and the lows of our faith are both purposeful. We're not supposed to be happy all the time; than why is "our" music. Joy-yes, Sorrow-yes. It seems like all the powerful soulful slow songs on a CD such as Shane and Shane never get played on the radio because they're too real, too dramatic. But they're so awesome!

Woops-Back to Third Day! At first, you may think of the band name, how He rose again on the third day, or for those Disney fans, "before the sun sets on the third day" - The Little Mermaid. But, there's more to "the third day" than we think. After being in Beth Moore's Esther study the past few weeks she sparked an interest in my little brain. I love looking up how verses correlate from the old to new testament and seeing just a glimpse of what God is saying through these three little words. So, I looked it up and "the third day" is used over 58 times. If you're interested then come along and see what God has in store. Here's a few of my favorites! Awesome God... I wonder what He's doing in us on the third day. PRETTY COOL!!
