Andes Mint Cookies

Image
I can't wait for you to make these cookies! I HAD to share this recipe! While I was laboring in the hospital, my friend Kelsey brought me some of these cookies! There was a cookie swap at the church the day I went into labor, so obviously I missed it. It was like missing trick-or-treating for me; not only do we eat the cookies, we give some away to special ladies. So sad! Your church should do one of these! Here's a link to a past cookie swap just in case you need ideas to spread the love in your community! If you know anything about me and my four sisters... (this is the five of us minus the girl on the bottom right) ... one thing we all have in common is that we are obsessed with chocolate mint! You could even substitute the mint for Reese's Cups... if you're one of those crazy people who doesn't like mint. I'll never understand that. here's what some of the batter looks like....mmm! There are a few tricks that I'd like to tell you a

Our Little Ice Storm

Ice Storm, rarr! It really wasn't as scary as it sounds. In fact, it was so beautiful! I couldn't wait to look out the window when I woke up because I just knew that there would be something sparkly outside! I'm especially sentimental about all of this winter weather this season. You can click here to see some 2011 pictures I took like these...  Of course, everyday is a holiday for me since I have the  privilege  of staying home with this little guy... Before I can continue to show you pictures of the ice storm that isn't as sweet as

We can't believe you are one month old today! We never knew we could love someone so much! It is hard to believe that God loved us so much that he GAVE his son to save us! I can't imagine how BIG that love is. Sometimes I just look at you and I've overcome with emotion because you are so precious and I don't want to ever do anything to harm you. I know we'll make mistakes and enjoy each day learning from the day before. You are such a blessing!   Here's what you looked like the day you were born... We can't believe how big you are getting! Here's what your cry face looks like! You hardly ever cry for more than five minutes and it's usually after I used that mean old booger sucker on you. You love to suck on your passy, your hands, and anythi
