Baking For May :)

Image
Happy Birthday nephew Jacksaroni! Last week we had the pleasure of celebrating Jackson's seventh birthday. This racetrack is made of crushed Oreo cookies, it was so easy! His lovely momma asked me make a race car cake... and this is what we ended up with! I had so much fun making this very boyish creation. I made a double chocolate chip cake with homemade chocolate fudge frosting...mmm!!!! I'm gaining a lot of boyish cake experience if this baby in my belly turns out to be a HE. Let's just say that I've improved since last year... I purposely did NOT post this picture before:  This would be Jackson's cake last year. Gray and Black frosting... I almost cried when making it.  He asked for a Batman cake so I had to make it! Do you see the belt I made on the bottom? Of course Batman is on the top. Shoo. Aren't they just precious? We had another birthday to celebrate too! Blake's pretty momma Leigh Ann turned thirty five! I had the pleasure of makin

105 Cupcakes

I'm pretty sure this was the largest order of cupcakes that I've had so far! Our friends from church were married in Kentucky last weekend and they had asked me to provide the cupcakes as a wedding cake. Didn't it turn out great? I was so proud!  Oh, and yes, the wedding was in Kentucky so that means these widdle cakes went on a widdle vacation. Let me tell you about our adventure! We drove six and a half hours of what was supposed to be five, with a GPS that kept telling us to simply "take turn off road" and "take trail on left." We found out that "trail" and "off road" meant driving down a mountain side or on a gravel road that was half the width of our honda accord. NO THANKS. We finally decided to pull over and ask the two fellas in overalls to point us in the right direction. They had no idea where we were trying to go but they did know how to tell us to   "get over this mountain." Thankfully, we arrived with f

She's so tiny! Blake and I visited this little girl in the hospital when she was born and we sat there, trying to contain our unannounced news that we were expecting, asking every question we could think of, and just staring at this little one.   This is baby Ryleigh! Remember these two lovely folks below? Here's a link to their maternity session in case you want to do some catching up. We are so excited for Jennifer and Kendall! Congratulations! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture this special and miraculous time in your lives. It's been so awesome to get to know you two!! just a reminder of who momma and daddy are Get your "aws" ready  And yes, this baby is under the fine supervision of THE BEST pediatrician in to

Christina & Her Little Men

Image
It was the perfect day for pictures. These three handsome fellows belong to a good friend of mine at work. I must tell you how much I love Christina. Christina was the first person that I met at Dr. Cohen's office! I brought in my resume and handed it to the blonde curly haired girl behind the fancy desk with the big smile. Little did I know, three weeks later I would be able to stand on the other side of that desk! A definite answer to prayer.  I specifically remember her because I saw the Lord in her that day! I am so grateful to not only work with one amazing christian woman, but so many!! Christina has a purpose. She strives to be a woman of God that is intentional. She doesn't base her happiness or joy upon her circumstances, she has a Solid Rock. She's intentional about parenting, friendships, her work ethic, attitude, discipline, practices, and compassion for others. She's not perfect, but very humble ;). She is passionate about her marriage, children, a
