Baby Ezra's Shower

I'm not sure my head and heart believe what's about to happen; my friend of almost ten years and I will no longer live in the same state. Dwayne, Kelsey, and little Ezra will move to Indiana on June 29th to begin planting a new church. I won't get to hold baby Ezra when he's born, cook them a meal, bake them any more goodies, bring Jude and Laurie Kate over to meet him, go on any more power walks with her, babysit, or simply just see them soon. In fact, I'm not sure when we'll see each other again. I'm definitely going to miss being a part of your life but we rejoice as you follow God's lead. I remember meeting Kelsey through our college ministry in Murfreesboro, TN. Kelsey also worked at the church as a childcare worker, which I hired. We always found ourselves chatting after childcare over Goldfish and animal crackers. Our little Florida girl. Laurie Kate, you should hear what all these South Florida friends say about you. "Her skin is so beautiful and white." "She looks like a doll from Babies R' Us." "Her name sounds like an expensive perfume." "She has the prettiest smile."  You're pleasantly surprising us with your flexibility and stinky gas! Haha! I mean, feel free to keep the gas up because it will definitely scare away those boys! I'm already praying that you'll be one of those girls who is so loved by her daddy that she won't even be interested in dating. (Please, Lord!) You love your daddy. Every time you hear his voice, your little head turns in expectation. Your eyes get wide and as soon as you see his face, you smile and almost bat your eyelashes. Times like these, I can hear God quietly nudging my heart, "listen to my voice with the same expectancy." God is so good, sister! The Lord is so patient with me through
