Rocky Road Fudge mmm

Rocky Road FUDGE...not ice cream. Here's a family favorite from the family bakery. It's easy enough for the beginner but tastes like you spent all day in the kitchen. Plus, it only has four ingredients. What can get better than that? But you better buy Nestle chocolate chips, nunna that store brand mess.
HAPPY THIRD DAY OF FALL!! Enjoy.
melt one bag of chocolate chips, one bag butterscotch, and one stick butter in microwave one minute each, stir, repeat
 
butter up your pan!

stir every minute and make sure all the chunks are gone

add marshmallows. Lick your fingers, repeat!

put it in your pan!


put it on your prettiest plate

A few tricks of the trade:
Once you place it in the pan, cover your hand with a bag to spread it out
Also, use a plastic knife of spatula to cut it and it won't stick

Little Blue Truck Almost every day, Jude enjoys the rhythm and rhymes of a particular book about a little blue truck. This truck and a few adorably illustrated farm animals help a mean old dump truck ( HOOOONK ) learn a valuable lesson about making friends. We all need friends and the right kind; that is for certain. He can finish almost any phrase, make all the animal sounds, and turn each page as we snuggle together. Florida Herrons May, 2018 To my friends who have shared this little blog with me over the past ten years, thank you!   There's a part of me that has been avoiding writing lately because I didn't know where to start. My heart has been heavy this year. Moments where you stop and pray ;  But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. (ESV Psalm 3:3) So, as I begin to blog again I feel the need to clarify something; transparency is not my goal here. I hesitate to focus on simply being transparent because it's important for me not to shortchange the TRUTH of God's word and lordship over my life. Another head-nodding in affirmation is nice but I need Jesus. I need the power of His word.  My aim is to glorify the Lord and tell of His faithfulness. After all, " For  we are his workmanship,  created in Christ Jesus  for good works,  which God prepared beforehand,  that we should walk in them . (ESV Ephesians 2:10)   H

Nesting

Let the nesting begin! We have been so thrilled to be able to start putting the baby room together! Thanks to Blake's workmanship and our wonderful Leigh Ann and Lonas, we now have an assembled crib and changing table for little baby boy!  little kitty is not allowed in baby's room i was a super tool holder! the changing table was a lot harder to assemble than the crib! Thanks to the wonderful world of Pinterest I have been able to successfully organize many creative ideas for our little baby boy nursery!! I definitely do not want to get carried away but I LOVE making little creative projects.   Our crib!! Room idea #1 our crib :) also, we are probably going to paint the nursery this color! I'll be hanging some lanterns too! We are SO thankful that Blake's amazing momma,"Granna," will be making the baby bedding for us!
