Thankful For Abraham & Desire Church

2 Corinthians 4: 7- 12 and 16-18:  But we have this treasure in  earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of  the power will be of God and not from ourselves;   we are   afflicted in every way, but not  crushed;  perplexed, but not despairing;   persecuted, but not  forsaken;  struck down, but not destroyed;   always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that  the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body .   For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.   So death works in us, but life in you.    Therefore we  do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our  inner man is  being renewed day by day.   For momentary,  light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison,   while we  look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, bu

Healthy Muffins All Over The Place!

Image
If you're a faithful reader of this silly blog then you know I'm in love with a particular vegan muffin recipe! I've made these muffins in pumpkin and banana and they are delicious! My friend Christina from my old job in Tennessee shared this recipe with me and it has reserved a spot in my cute little recipe box. First, I just have to say thank you to the ladies who gave me the recipe box back in 2009! Some wonderful women at Belle Aire Baptist Church gave me this box filled with their favorite go-to recipes and it truly touched my heart! Plus, it's so cute that Blake even lets me keep it on top of the fridge! I had to get Lolly in the picture too! Recently I made this recipe a little healthier by taking a risk with some quinoa (pronounced keen-wa) flakes! What's quinoa? Don't worry, I Googled is for you!  Quinoa is  a type of seed, but can be prepared and substituted like whole grains such as rice! I t takes   less time to cook than other whole grain

Turning 26!

(Kelsey posted this picture on Instagram and I stole it!) I had such a great time celebrating my birthday this year! It was definitely strange not having family around for the first time in a very long time! I think the fact that I received cards in the mail all the way from Tennessee and other states made me realize how far away I was. I'm not only in Florida, I'm almost at the very end of the state! My heart was very torn when I woke up in the morning. August 19th is my actual birthday but the day before, after our Desire Church gathering, Blake surprised me by gathering a group of our friends for dinner at Sal's! I walked in and there were the Olson's and the Gibbs! Kelsey made this delicious strawberry cake that you see above! I felt so special that someone would make a cake for me! I know how much hard work it is; making a cake is a big commitment haha! Little Jude sat next to me and was so enamored by the glowing candles. I love seeing life through his little ey

Eight Months With Jude

Image
Little Jude! I'm working on this blog a little bit behind schedule as Jude turned 8 months on August 12. As you can imagine, we've been a little busy but I had to sit down and document some of Jude's sweetness! You started to crawl at the Olson's house right before you turned seven months and then right when you turned seven months, you were a pro! We couldn't keep up with you! You crawl around the house and your little hands go "smack, smack, smack" on the tile floor. We did purchase a rug but it doesn't seem to help you very much when you land on your head. You've had many bruises on the front, back, and sides of your head from your brave falls! I wish that the houses down here had carpet so bad! It's not fun hearing the "thunk" your head makes on this tile!  We also noticed that right when you turned seven months you pulled up in your pack n' play or crib to greet us in the morning. It's also new to see you sit
