Jude's Little Blue Truck Party

Little Blue Truck Almost every day, Jude enjoys the rhythm and rhymes of a particular book about a little blue truck. This truck and a few adorably illustrated farm animals help a mean old dump truck ( HOOOONK ) learn a valuable lesson about making friends. We all need friends and the right kind; that is for certain. He can finish almost any phrase, make all the animal sounds, and turn each page as we snuggle together. We treasure those moments and hearing his animated "beep, beep, beep!" Since this little dude has such an attachment to the "Little Blue Truck" by Alice Shertle, we decided that it would be the perfect theme for his second birthday party. I tried not to go over-the-top since Jude could care less about all the matchy decorations. I get it. However, just as I thought, he LOVED the blue truck on his cake! Some days are meant for pajamas. What is it about those little wiggly legs running around the house in slender fitted cotton pants? I had to get out the camera.  Jude, I get a glimpse of you bursting from each corner of the house and I stop and think about how amazing it is to know you. Lord, thank you for this child. Not every day is easy but you make every day special, that's for certain. These past two years have been filled with so much joy and adventure. You just want to play. Legos, trucks, blocks, music, bubbles, balls, puzzles, markers, and repeat. Your favorite word is definitely, "truck." You grab my hand, most times just one finger, and lead me to your next adventurous destination. This way, mom. You say "help" when you need something and "stuck" when you're in a bind. You like to say "there ya go," "alright," "fix it," and all sorts of adorable phrases. You sing along to familiar tunes like "
