Red Pepper Pasta

Image
Oh. This was good! I was in the mood to discover some new recipes so, naturally I visited The Pioneer Woman's website. She's inspiring to me!  Here's the recipe!  Simply start with your favorite form of fancy pasta! It was very difficult for me to not buy whole wheat or veggie pasta but I figured since I've only gained one pound while pregnant, I need all I can get. (We'll see how I feel about this later haah) This pasta had a very robust and unique smoky flavor! Blake, baby, and I enjoyed it very much!  You can grill your peppers or roast them on broil. I was about to get the George Forman out but sometimes I don't like cleaning it!   cut up the onion that will make your house smell for a week! garlic, olive oil, seasonings, YUM.  rotate in the oven so each side is charred, smells so good progress  put roasted peppers in a bag so they sweat... not sure why but ok!  cut out seeds and stems  puree in a blender  add heavy cr

Welcome Home Soldier Tiffany!

Image
stole this from FB, Tiffany is on the left :) We are so excited that our friend Tiffany is home! Tiffany is a good friend and also happens to be Blake's assistant at work. She decided to join the national guard and recently returned, finally!!! I can not imagine what she's been through but we are so proud! To celebrate, we had a little party at a friend's house and congratulated our soldier! She is legit!! I found this fun idea on Pinterest and thought it would be perfect! All you have to do is dye a few different colors of cake batter! For the frosting, just layer up the colors and there you have it! She was so tickled to see the army green! :) We love you Tiffany!

Our Little Man

Image
What a day. Meet our little man! All of this will be faithfully recorded in our little baby book but... here goes! A lot of people were so confused when they saw this picture so I'll try to help. You're looking at two bent legs from the tail bone up. See it now? Amazing! My day began at our Back To School Bash with work. We invited all of our patients to come to a fun center and celebrate so around 500 showed up! We had a lot of fun but needless to say, I was ready to be at our appointment. So, Blake and his wonderful mother and sister came to pick me up and we drove to Nashville. After the appointment I had a divine appointment with our women's ministry. I was in charge of a women's event at church and it was spectacular! My friend and coworker Christina came and brought the word! Oh, so many gifts in one day!  The ultrasound tech didn't really give us any idea of how long this appointment would last so I assumed it would be like the previous ultrasoun

Third Anniversary :)

Three years!? I can hardly believe it. Oh, I'm so thankful. Thankful for a loving husband who puts my and others needs before his own, volunteers to wash the dishes, encourages me, pushes me to do my best, teaches me guitar (blog on this later) who is fertile (haha, you never know!), and who shares life with passion, service, and dedication to Jesus first.    Blake took me on a surprise trip to Opryland Hotel! He sold a guitar part so we could celebrate! We stayed the night, went on a boat ride, ate at the Old Hickory Steakhouse, watched the light show, and even got a free breakfast. They gave us a room that overlooked the gardens too, it was the perfect getaway!!! I feel so lucky! I'm so excited to be a part of a marriage that has a meaning. After listening to a sermon online recently (here)  I was so encouraged! Scripture reminds us in Ephesians 5 about the  mission of marriage; to help us better understand how God loves his church, and how the church should respon
