Still Baking Strong

YUM! Sorry for posting such a tempting picture! Some people have been asking to see some more recent pictures of baking sooo... I'd be silly to not listen to my dear readers! Last week I had the chance to make this scrumptious chocolate bar cake again for a frequent customer! CLICK HERE for recipe from one of my previous blog posts. 

I also had the chance to make some more chocolate covered strawberries as we celebrated boss day at work for Dr. Cohen. I am so grateful to work with such an amazing staff. It's amazing to be able to see my coworkers as a family, we all care for each other! BLESSED. I found out through the grapevine that his favorite cake was german chocolate so, I had to accept the challenge! If you've ever made a german chocolate cake then you know how time consuming it could be! However, all the hard work was absolutely worth it. I used some coffee to make it even richer...it was amazing!

 More baby shower strawberries! Kroger didn't have any strawberries left for the season so I had to hit up the local grocery! I hope that I can still find some for this weekend because I'm planning on making some special little halloween characters! We'll see! Thanks for sharing the adventure with me.

Little Blue Truck Almost every day, Jude enjoys the rhythm and rhymes of a particular book about a little blue truck. This truck and a few adorably illustrated farm animals help a mean old dump truck ( HOOOONK ) learn a valuable lesson about making friends. We all need friends and the right kind; that is for certain. He can finish almost any phrase, make all the animal sounds, and turn each page as we snuggle together. Fall Afresh On Me

Fall Decor At Our Tennessee Home I apologize in advance for this crazy and loaded blog post. I tried blogging about one topic and then it just exploded. So, enjoy! Fall Afresh? What does that mean? It happens to be the lyric of one of my favorite songs lately.  If you haven't heard of Bethel Music or Jeremy Riddle, here's a song that just might bless you. I love the lyrics! "Spirit of the living God, come fall afresh on me, come wake me from my sleep. Burn through the caverns of my soul, pour in me to overflow." That is my prayer!! I grew up singing hymns mostly so I knew this song came from this hymn , just in case you were unaware!   I've been thinking a lot about seasons, particularly fall since it's my first fall away from home.
