Happy Halloween Sweets!

Hello again friends! I think this just might be the best October yet. There's tobacco barns burning, Coldplay just came out with a new album, we have some beautifully colored trees outside, I get to see WICKED on Tuesday with Kelsey (OMG!) , and I had the chance to make some pretty festive sweets! We also had the opportunity to celebrate the most awkward holiday with some fine friends this weekend! First, we started off right by carving pumpkins! Eight pumpkins creates quite a lot of seeds so we did the most honorable thing with them; roasted, toasted, and covered them with seasoned salt! MMM! 

In case you're wondering, these fun treats are some chocolate Kahlua cupcakes with Oreos and MnMs to make a little OWL! Aw, I just love them....they were Blake's favorite! Then there's also some Keebler fudge cookies with Hershey's Kisses as witch hats, and of course the party wouldn't be complete without the season's finest chocolate covered strawberries! I HAD SO MUCH FUN! I got all of these ideas from the internet! Maybe the Lord is preparing me to open my own chocolate shop that provides sweets for every holiday?

Little Blue Truck Almost every day, Jude enjoys the rhythm and rhymes of a particular book about a little blue truck. This truck and a few adorably illustrated farm animals help a mean old dump truck ( HOOOONK ) learn a valuable lesson about making friends. We all need friends and the right kind; that is for certain. He can finish almost any phrase, make all the animal sounds, and turn each page as we snuggle together. Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.   Let your reasonableness be known to everyone.  The Lord is at hand;   do not be anxious about anything,  but in everything by prayer and supplication  with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.   And  the peace of God,  which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Fall Afresh On Me

Fall Decor At Our Tennessee Home I apologize in advance for this crazy and loaded blog post. I tried blogging about one topic and then it just exploded. So, enjoy! Fall Afresh? What does that mean? It happens to be the lyric of one of my favorite songs lately.  If you haven't heard of Bethel Music or Jeremy Riddle, here's a song that just might bless you. I love the lyrics! "Spirit of the living God, come fall afresh on me, come wake me from my sleep. Burn through the caverns of my soul, pour in me to overflow." That is my prayer!! I grew up singing hymns mostly so I knew this song came from this hymn , just in case you were unaware!   I've been thinking a lot about seasons, particularly fall since it's my first fall away from home.
