Picnic Time!

We had another great week at Desire Church! We have been amazed at God's spirit moving in the hearts of our new friends. It's such a treat to meet new faces, connect throughout the week, encourage one another, and share Christ with our new community. This month, we're meeting at our house and it has been a joy! We worship in the front of the house, share about opportunities we've had to share God's love, and then the children play out in our sunroom until the sermon is over. Hearing big and little voices sing is just a little bit of heaven! We're so blessed to hear messages from Jerel and Dwayne! The kids had a great time learning about Moses this week and we'll learn more about him next week too! This week we had around 35 people including some special friends from Tennessee; Jeremy, Katie, Lincoln, and Lliam Bennett! We had such a special time with them as they visited for a few days! They have such amazing hearts for the Lord! Thank you for praying for us as we continue to grow together! You can pray specifically for us to all continue to seek out the opportunities that God sets before us to share his love! We are also hoping to find a building to meet in in the near future; we can't wait to see what God has in store! It's a humbling experience to worship our Father together in such an intimate setting! God is so good!

After the service this week, we had a picnic! Our neighborhood allows you to reserve our pavilion for free so it was the perfect spot! We love just a few houses down so it was really convenient. God knew that we'd be meeting here someday! I love thinking back just a few months ago when we were trying to find a place to live down here. It was definitely not easy but God had the perfect house for us to rent and we are so thankful!

Little Blue Truck Almost every day, Jude enjoys the rhythm and rhymes of a particular book about a little blue truck. This truck and a few adorably illustrated farm animals help a mean old dump truck ( HOOOONK ) learn a valuable lesson about making friends. We all need friends and the right kind; that is for certain. He can finish almost any phrase, make all the animal sounds, and turn each page as we snuggle together. We treasure those moments and hearing his animated "beep, beep, beep!" What to Think

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.   Let your reasonableness be known to everyone.  The Lord is at hand;   do not be anxious about anything,  but in everything by prayer and supplication  with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.   And  the peace of God,  which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Fall Afresh On Me

Fall Decor At Our Tennessee Home I apologize in advance for this crazy and loaded blog post. I tried blogging about one topic and then it just exploded. So, enjoy! Fall Afresh? What does that mean? It happens to be the lyric of one of my favorite songs lately.  If you haven't heard of Bethel Music or Jeremy Riddle, here's a song that just might bless you. I love the lyrics! "Spirit of the living God, come fall afresh on me, come wake me from my sleep. Burn through the caverns of my soul, pour in me to overflow." That is my prayer!! I grew up singing hymns mostly so I knew this song came from this hymn , just in case you were unaware!   I've been thinking a lot about seasons, particularly fall since it's my first fall away from home.
