No Bake Energy Bites

Image
Random. I just had to share this awesome recipe that I've been snacking on lately! (thanks Google for the picture) I'm about to blog a real post about life but honestly, this is important too! Healthy and yummy snacks are hard to find! So, here's the recipe friends... No Bake Energy Bites 1 1/2 cups dry oatmeal 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup ground flaxseed 1/3 cup honey 1 tsp vanilla ( you can also add whatever nutts, coconut, or dried fruit you want to) Simply mix in a bowl and roll into balls... so yummy! I used Publix real fresh ground peanut butter and I had to add a little salt to the mix. You can add more oats or more peanut butter depending on what texture you desire. YUM! In case you don't know about the wonders of flaxseed then you can see my previous post where I talk all about it's goodness and a granola bar recipe.  Kids like helping too! These days, I have a special helper named Liam who l...

Blanca & Efrian

Taking walks around our neighborhood has proved to be my favorite daily task where I see God intervene with my seemingly  mundane routine. I can't even begin to tell you how full my heart is with the new faces I've met in our neighborhood. I'm wrecked every time I come home after meeting a new face with, "I want them to knooooow God loves them!" I'm also wrecked with my selfishness, pride, and lack of knowledge and wisdom beyond baby talk... "buuh buuuuh banana." It's hard to form a complete thought after speaking in phonics to little Jude all day haha.  You see, there's Blanca and Efrian, an adorable older couple. Each afternoon precisely around 5:15 they open their garage, set out their white plastic chairs, and sit. Can't you see them? There's probably a similar scene in your neighborhood. They watch the cars go by, hardly speak a word to each other, and then go inside at the first glimpse of twilight as if the night will harm th...

Love With Abandon: Desire Church January Launch

I can't wait to share this video testimonial Blake and I put together of our Desire Church momma; miss Milvian Lema. She's just beautiful! What a weekend. I never thought that I'd be sitting here blogging about church planting in South Florida but here I am, and I wouldn't change it for the world! When we were first asked to pray about moving to Florida my heart was torn. I was scared, confused, impatient, and cold hearted to the idea.  However, the Lord is in the business of changing hearts and I'm so glad he broke, restored, reshaped, warmed, and completely changed mine.  God is so faithful. I can't help but proclaim it over and over! If you've followed our journey to Florida then you know what kind of faithfulness I'm referring to. Maybe you've experienced God's faithfulness in your own life and can testify to his great love and sovereignty over what seemed like absolute chaos at the time. Controlled chaos. Isn't that li...
