Panama Part Three: Sailing, Zip Lining, Horse Back, & Four Wheeling
First, there will be a part four and maybe even five, so stay tuned! More pictures from our Panama, Central America trip! If you're just now seeing these, part one and two are almost required crazy head! So, after spending one day in Panama City, Panama and then traveling to our resort, we started to plan our adventures. Well, I didn't plan them but Blake and his lovely family did! First up, the guys went on a four wheeling excursion and the ladies went horse back! Above, you'll see that we went sailing too, we also went zip lining; we'll get to that later! Amazing, we lived it up! According to the pictures and my oh so dark (not) skin, it may not appear that we laid out by the beach or by the pool much but we did!
Blake said that four wheeling was one of his favorite parts of the trip! They let them run wild up to 60mph on the beach!!
The horse that was supposed to be tame...!!! This little guy was kicking, snorting, and very disobedient. Maybe he knew I was extremely nervous and inexperienced.
An hour and a half on those saddles = sore bottoms! On our way to the coast!
Our lovely trail leader who knew a lot of sign language and whistles... no English... :)
look at those little horsey ears haha
I don't think I would have made it off of this horse alive without this lovely cowgirl!
See, we did lay out!
some amazing homes at our resort
riding around on our gator
time to go sailing!!!!
I must share with you that while we were on board with our el capitano we had quite the scare! We were enjoying the side to side motions until we noticed that the boat was getting pretty close to the edge of the water. The captain then tried to explain that the wind was unusually strong that day... then... we heard a big rip. The sail ripped!! When you hear el capitano say "aaaaaaaaaah shitoh" you start to think you're fish food. Worse, jelly fish food. I don't know how he ended up fixing it but he did! It was just like they say, "a three hour tour." Enjoyed every minute of it.
Up next... zip lining! We drove about an hour from the resort to a local mountain rage, kind of like the rain forest! We hiked up the mountain for about thirty minutes and then started our journey down by zip line.
hiking up, harnessed in!
At the top, before I freaked out!
aw, brother and sister
yup, i'm freaking out
they were much braver than I was! aren't they so cute?
You can't even see the end of the line.. that's how steep this line was!!! My knees are still shaking!
yeah, that line is going STRAIGHT down!!!!!!! ah!!!
we went over a waterfall!
so grateful that we're all alive!
view from the ground
the beautiful house/restaurant that we ate at afterwards... very under dressed. woops. this place was incredible! It felt like we were in Zorro's home!
could not believe how beautiful this was!
orchids!!
oh yeah, Italian Panamanian style
Chocolate "Heart Attack." The server laughed out loud when we tried to order two, we didn't know it was going to be so huge!! I do have to share that the night before, I was craving brownies and look what God blessed us with; brownies AND ice cream!
Don't know what they were but they tasted good to Blake!
The creative kitchen. So cool looking!
These are real... so beautiful!
Loving all the pictures. I am totally jealous but what a wonderful trip! My knees are shaking thinking about that zip line! Go Carol!!
