Eleven Months With LK

This was a busy month for us and for you little baby girl! You started walking when you were ten and a half months and now you've mastered it! You love to eat anything I put in front of you, you are becoming less interested in those silly bottles, and you want to be right where Jude is at all times. Your hair is growing in, but not quick enough haha! You like to say "mama, dada, yeah, hi, " and a few other little almost-words. You love talking on the phone to just about any object and you love your baby dolls. It's such a treat to see how different you are than Jude. Jude used to love to read but you'd rather just sit and look at the books by yourself. We love your big grin and your sweet hugs and kisses. Being your mom and dad is just the best!  You're constantly teaching me to slow down, to listen, and to give thanks for each day! This time last year, we didn't even know you! Our Third Florida Christmas

Blake did an incredible job with the lights this year! woo hoo! love you! I love tradition. However, it seems as though every Christmas looks a little different for us. Sometimes we are in Tennessee and sometimes we're at our house in Florida.  Sometimes Blake surprises me with a cat and sometimes I give him books about dogs but no actual dog... haha! I'm thankful that even though we may not have the most consistent traditions, God is consistent to meet us right where we are! It's difficult to push all the hustle and bustle of the holidays aside and just sit expectantly for our sweet Father. Lord, thank you for such a special time of togetherness with our family and friends! We've tried to keep a few traditions as we begin our little family. We like to go look at the Christmas lights, eat a lot of cookies, and put up decorations. This year, we were lucky to have Mimi and Pop come visit us!
