Five Months With Jude

It has been a while but this little guy has kept us busy! We are so thankful for the gift of Jude! You are a mover and a shaker little man! Even though it's definitely not easy, we have LOVED getting to know you and take care of you! You have taught us to remember to take time to escape every once in a while so that we are happier together and individually. Your daddy and I went on two dates in one week and it was awesome! You love to roll all over the place! There have been times where we place you in the den and you roll all the way to the kitchen! Aunt Lea Ann was watching you and she said you rolled under the coffee table and thought it was the most hilarious thing! You've enjoyed your bouncy saucer seat thingy (who knows what it's actually called) and you like your bumbo seat too! You don't like to be cuddled the same way as before; now you want to be cuddled with your head up so that you can see what's going on with those sleepy eyes.

You like momma's milk and formula since the doctor wanted you to gain a little more weight. I still love creeping into your room in the morning and seeing your huge smile! Daddy and I love reading books to you as you study each page... you are so engaged! You smile all the time, shake your hands, smack your belly a lot, squeal, cry, fuss, and poop like a normal baby! You go to bed around 8:30 and wake up around 7:30... we are spoiled! Sometimes you wake up a little early and you snuggle with us! You knock out when we put you down at night.. shooo wee! You love to play outside, play in the sunroom, go on walks, visit Aunt Lea Ann and the cousins, visit with Ryleigh, and Kelsey and Dwayne even babysat you this month. Good job spitting up on Dwayne two times in one night! You love to grab whatever is in front of you, put it in your mouth, slobber, and coo! You have giggled a few times but nothing big...we are still waiting for the big laughs! You were 13.8 pounds at your last check up so that means that you are probably around 15 pounds now... crazy! Mom and Dad are sorry if we have stressed you out lately from all of our house showings... we are still trying to sell our house so we can move to Florida! Here are a few of your adventures from this month!

This Mother's Day you had your first bite of oat cereal! Dr. Ervin told us that oats are better for you than rice and I guess that makes sense! You LOVED it and couldn't get enough! Granna came to visit us and she had a lot of fun watching you eat too! We couldn't believe that you are old enough to eat food but we can't wait to let you try all sorts of veggies and fruits now! Yay!

Happy Mother's Day!
You met Aunt Haley for the first time this month! Haley and I have been friends since she was two and I was four years old! We sang at your daddy's home church in Alcoa, TN and Haley came to the service with us. Mamaw loved holding you too while we practiced!
Daddy loves to take naps with you on the couch
Mimi had so much fun at the lake house with you. This was the day you first started taking some extra calories in with some formula. You definitely needed some rolls on those bird legs! We had a great time at Mimi's house for the second time!

going on a walk with Granna
You loved snuggling with Mamaw and Papaw; we went to dinner in the Smoky Mountains with them!
we were so excited for you to meet Shannon, Blake's cousin! He had an AMAZING art display in Knoxville!
Then, we went to go visit Nana and Papa Dick. We had a lot of fun watching them cut down the trees in their backyard. Some of those trees were planted by Blake's Grandy! It was sad to see them go!
momma loves snuggling with you!
holding your bottle!

it's getting so warm outside so sometimes you go without a shirt haha!
Daddy loves taking pictures of you while you sleep!
Daddy wanted me to document how big your head was... you can't even reach all the way around it! haha
we had so much fun celebrating your cousin Mallory's birthday! i had the privilege of making these yummy cupcakes!
Parker did a great job babysitting you and... scaring you!
you LOVE going on the greenway with mom!
Mother's Day!
