Trust Me On This...My First Ice Cream Recommendation
I hope you're having a swell summer! Our summer so far has delivered a slew of firsts; our first home, garage, our first time moving to two different cities together, and our first pint (honestly, pints) of Greater's ice cream together! By the wa,y do you like our first dining room color in the background?!
Here's the scoop (literally); my family is CRAZY about ice cream! This creamy dessert will always be one way to our hearts. Up until this point in our marriage we try not to buy ice cream often because it's too dangerous to keep in the house. However, there's this special brand that we couldn't resist!!
My oldest sister and her husband lived in Cincinnati, OH for a few years while she was doing her residency so, therefore, whenever the five sisters gathered in that city, we had to scout out the best ice cream around. There was this cute little candy shop down the road that we had always heard Lea Ann talking about so one winter evening around Christmas we all piled up in her Volvo station-wagon. As the end of the car almost dragged on the pavement, we sang Christmas Carols the whole way! You may think the songs were prompted by the radio but these carols were originals, without music, just our five part harmonies that ranged from the low voices of "Good King Wenceslas" to the chipmunk pitches of "I Still Want a Hooooola-hoop." Of course the songs were always interrupted with uncontrollable laughter and "I don't remember the next words, let's go to another song." I still laugh thinking about that night! Woops, back to the ice cream....long story short we shivered our way out of the parking lot, under flurries, inside the candy shop, and to our newfound ice cream addiction.
The best part about this story is... we no longer have to get it shipped from Cincinnati any more(i'm being serious)... they have it at your local KROGER!!! You know what this means... if you don't buy/try this ice cream then they may not keep it on the shelves!!! It is your civil act of duty to try this creamy goodness. It comes in a variety of flavors so you have no excuse! Love ya'll!
