Yes, we dyed eggs!

Image
Thanks to the creative Kelsey (almost Gibbs!!!) we dyed eggs this Easter! I wanted to dye some but I didn't know if anyone else would and poof... she had the same idea! It's been so sweet to get to spend quality time with quality friends! Blake and I have been blown away with how the Lord answers our prayers. God is on our side! He wants what is best for us to prune, teach, and love us. Even my family is close! Who knew that the Lord would bring Blake and I together in this little town called Murfreesboro, bring us to Hendersonville, and then bring us to White House, TN. WE MAY EVEN LIVE UP THERE SOON! Can you believe it? Praaaaise the Lord. I hope you see His awesomenesssss all around you!

My Momma's Classic Cinnamon Rolls

What do you get when you roll up brown sugar, a dash of oatmeal, cinnamon, and butter? BUNDLES OF JOY! I had such a great time making these little masterpieces this weekend. We had a Sundy Brunch with our lovely choir members and I thought this would be the perfect treat. Don't forget the whipped vanilla cream cheese frosting (not too sweet this time). They were heavenly! However, I think my cat has permanent dry mouth now after licking up all the flour that covered our kitchen floor.  a mess is a must! this recipe is so simple and sweet. and listen, if you think that plain white sugar will do the trick you must not have gotten this recipe from your momma! the dark brown sugar has molasses in it and adds that kick of extra natural flavor...and most likely calories. when making bread...don't cheat on the kneading!   such a pretty lump of goodness!   more butta the betta I thought some oatmeal would make them unique:)  Here comes the fun! doesn't that just make yo...

It's almost Easter! This weekend we had a BLAST (cold blast) spending some quality family time with my sisters and parents. It was Kevin Laman's birthday so we all gathered up in Chattanooga, TN to celebrate. Our little niece Mallory is the cutest easter bunny! Grateful for spring, renewal, and definitely PEEPS! This is the original easter basket from the Sanderson five! See... Here's two Easters ago for Blake and I... we look so different!!

Hello again! It's been a lovely and busy week in the Herron household. Last weekend we celebrated Kelsey and Tiffany's birthdays! When it's one of your best friend's birthdays... you go all out! Putt Putt, Outback, Red Velvet, and of course Tea Cake cookies! Oh it was heavenly fellowship! I can not wait for these two to get hitched!  On another note, I LOVE MY NEW JOB! It has been a much needed answer to prayer. I love all of the staff, they are all so friendly and fun! My boss even approved for me to be able to go on our mission trip to Ohio this summer, I am so excited! Also, tomorrow at church they are going to vote for Blake to become the full time Worship Pastor...another answered prayer! Can you believe it? We're hoping that White House FBC is where the Lord wants us to serve for the next season of our marriage...and if it is then we will be looking for a house very soon! (amazing)  I'm so tickled that the Lord has allowed me to be able to use all my cre...

Another Sweet Week :)

Hello again! It's been another fun and messy week of baking. I've gotten even MORE orders for graduations, weddings, birthdays, etc. I'm thinking that I should go ahead and get a business license but I'm a little apprehensive about the amount of orders vs available time on my hands. Praying for His guidance. On another note... here are ten things going on in the Herron household this week: 1. Blake has been singing his heart out at the recording studio 2. We have been enjoying some yummy homemade taco salad 3. We are so excited about the "Run for Haiti" this weekend (5k with my best friend Kelsey and our band "The Ocean Dry" is performing!) Our church is organizing it..come on out to White House on Saturday! 3. I LOVE my new job including all the wonderful coworkers, braces, free lunches, ethical atmosphere, and youthful patients 4. We get to babysit the cutest nephews and niece tomorrow night  5. I found GIANT easter egg marshmallows at Kroger...def...
