What to Think

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.   Let your reasonableness be known to everyone.  The Lord is at hand;   do not be anxious about anything,  but in everything by prayer and supplication  with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.   And  the peace of God,  which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.   What you have learned and  received and heard and seen  in me—practice these things, and  the God of peace will be with you. This year was full of incredible community, answers to prayer, round 3 of counseling, disappointments and anxiety. I’m a big believer in counseling. This year of counseling was not pertaining to our marriage but our marriage is experiencing some beautiful fruit.  It's all the Spirit's work.  Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16, ESV).     Repentance. Forgiveness. Rest. Sabbath. Truth. All words that come to mind for 2019 that I felt my heart seeking. I've never felt more encouraged, loved, confused, and strong at the same time. We have no idea what 2020 holds. Not a clue. I'll just have to keep singing a new song!
